ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s MPA in Punjab Assembly, Uzma Kardar, has been expelled over the violation of party discipline, a notification informed.
The ruling party’s Standing Committee on Discipline and Accountability issued a notification in this regard today (Sunday). The notification informed that Uzma Kardar’s basic party membership has been revoked.
The notification further informed that the ruling party has already issued a show-cause notice to Uzma Kardar on June 15. “Uzma Kardar’s attitude is inappropriate and not worthy of the office. She is not eligible for any parliamentary post,” read the notification.
The notification also pointed out that Uzma Kardar may challenge the decision within seven days with the party’s appellate committee.
Earlier in June, Uzma Kardar was removed from the Media Strategy Committee and as a spokesperson for the provincial government. The official notification was issued and signed by Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan.
