These were his first comments after last night’s announcement by Imran Khan in which he said both the KP and Punjab assemblies would be dissolved on Friday, December 23.
In an interview to a private TV Channel, Pervaiz Elahi revealed that he had asked PTI Chairman Imran Khan not to talk about General (R) Bajwa, but the other day “Imran Khan made me sitting with him and spoke against Gen (R) Bajwa which was wrong.”

From now on, he said, if someone speaks against Gen (R) Bajwa, “I will speak against that person,” he said, adding that Imran Khan was given every support during his days in power. He further said that no one should be ungrateful to his benefactor.
Pervaiz Elahi said Imran Khan wasn’t willing to sit together with his son Moonis Elahi, yet, PMLQ not only supported Imran Khan but has come all the way along with PTI.
Referring to Nawaz Sharif, he said his platelets were complete now, and since children of Shehbaz Sharif had returned, Nawaz too would be returning soon to Pakistan ‘dry-cleaned’.
Punjab CM revealed that the country’s Establishment was against the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies and wanted Houses to complete their tenure.
The provincial chief executive said the PTI should remember Gen Bajwa’s favours upon the party, adding that he was not against Khan’s party but its members should avoid talking about their ‘benefactor’.
“Bajwa elevated the party’s stature from nothing and supported the government on many international matters such as negotiating procurement of funds from Pakistan’s Arab allies or the International Monetary Fund,” CM Pervaiz Elahi added.
The Punjab chief minister warned that he and his party will be the first ones to defend General (retd) Qamar Bajwa if anything further is said against the former army chief.
“I told Imran Khan that Gen Bajwa is ours, yours and PTI’s benefactor so fear God and don’t speak against him,” he said, adding that how can be so ‘ungrateful’ despite of many favours.
