KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday once again traded in a negative zone as the stock market declined by over 300 points.
The stock market started in the negative zone on the third day of the business week. Trading started at 31,231 points in the KSE 100 Index.
The benchmark KSE-100 index at the stock market started at 31,231 points and closed at 30,916 points. At the time of filing the report, the index was trading at 31,868, down by 144 points.
The PSX’s stock market has been in crisis since the outbreak of the coronavirus, and the index has fallen from 42,000 level to 30,000 level since the outbreak.
On the first day of the trading week, the KSE-100 Index surged by 652.40 points or 2.13 percent to close at 31,231.55 points. Trading activities remained thin as daily volumes on ready counter decreased to 172.769 million shares as compared to 233.329 million shares.
