KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed mixed reactions from investors on Friday, as the indices that remained choppy in the first half turned their course in the second half to end the day in the green.
The benchmark KSE-100 index benchmark declined by 101.29 points to reach an intraday low at 45,838.75. It then managed to recover its losses and after accumulating 203.87 points to touch its intraday high of 46,143.91.
The index finally closed higher by 139.33 points at 46,079.37. Among other indices, the KMI-30 Index lost 80.71 points to end at 74,757.68, while the KSE-All Share index settled at 31,589.92 after gathering 123.07 points.
As many as 363 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 144 of them recorded gain and 198 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 21 companies remained unchanged.
