KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party has begun a legal fight for the legitimate rights of people living in the Sindh capital and has challenged the Sindh Local Government (Amendment Bill) 2021 in the Sindh High Court.

Chairman PSP Syed Mustafa Kamal while talking to the media said that PPP is working against the state of Pakistan. “Asif Zardari and Bilawal Zardari’s PPP do not accept Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s 1973 constitution in practice. In order to humiliate the people of Karachi, the PPP has snatched all the institutions and powers from the local bodies and made the mayor only in charge of public toilets,” he said.

He further said, “PPP’s proposed local government system is a clear violation of Articles 7, 8, 32, and 140A of the Constitution and is a disgrace to democratic history. If this bill becomes law, the storm that will arise from Karachi will God forbid will become a threat to the security and survival of Pakistan.”

He continued, “The blood of 3 youths who have committed suicide due to unemployment in Karachi in the last week is in the hands of the rulers. If the rulers have decided to kill us, let the rulers hear that 30 million people will not commit suicide and before dying we will terminate the tyrant rulers.”

He further added, “This black law of the PPP is a matter of national security threat. Already all the powers and resources were vested in the Chief Minister, now all the institutions created by KMC have been taken over by the corrupt and biased PPP government with a mere signature by the CM. The lands, buildings, and employees belonged to KMC from the moment of its inception.”

According to Kamal, PPP is creating tomorrow’s terrorists today. “The Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies have not made great sacrifices to eradicate terrorism from the country so that the PPP can create new terrorists in Sindh. We did not liberate Karachi, the economic lifeline of Pakistan, from the domination of RAW so that it could be mortgaged to Asif Ali Zardari,” he said.

He added, “We are loyal to the state, not to any government. The state is ours and we will defend it. State agencies arrest terrorists but do not take action against the rulers who make terrorists. From Karachi to Balochistan, young people are missing, but no ruler or his son has ever gone missing.”

While talking about the neighbouring country, Kamal said, “India did not commit as many atrocities in occupied Kashmir and the British in the occupied subcontinent as the PPP’s biased government is perpetuating in Sindh and its capital Karachi.”

He added, “The PPP is blocking all our avenues by pushing us against the wall. Worldwide, from education to health and from ports to policing are the subjects of local governments, not federal or provincial governments. Ethnicities who are in the minority in any population and cannot hold Prime Minister or Chief Minister offices on numerical basis are given the right to rule by electing their councilors through local governments. So that they can have a sense of ownership and solve the problems of their street neighborhood and participate in the state as stakeholder.”
