QUETTA: Hundreds of men, women, and children have staged a protest and are demanding justice for a four-year-old girl Bramsh Baloch, who was shot by gunmen at her residence in the Dannuk area of Turbat.
According to details, the protesters have staged protests at the Quetta press club and were questioning the provincial government’s safety measures and demand punishment for the criminals and their facilitators.
The incident occurred on May 26, when three armed robbers stormed into a house in Dannuk with the intention of carrying out a robbery. The young girl’s mother, Malik Naaz, was shot dead for resisting while the little girl was injured badly.
The residents managed to capture one of the robbers and handed him over to the local police. Two other suspects had also been detained but the alleged head of the gang is still nowhere to be found almost a week after the incident.
The incident has raised a wave of protest. In the last three days, a huge crowd gathered at Gwadar, Turbat, and Buleda in support of Bramsh. The protesters demand the arrest of Sameer Sabzal, the head of the gang.
Baloch people worldwide have also joined the protest by launching an online campaign – #JusticeForBramsh – on social media.
