It has been decided to confiscate the properties of the 22 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders who were declared proclaimed offenders in the Jinnah House attack case, a private TV channel reported on Friday.
Details of the properties of the accused will be obtained in the next phase, police said.
The process to confiscate the properties will be started in the next few days, they added.
On August 16, police declared 22 senior leaders of the PTI-proclaimed offenders (POs) in the Jinnah House attack case.
Mian Aslam Iqbal, Murad Saeed, Andleeb Abbas, Ahmad Niazi, Farrukh Habib, Zubair Niazi, Ali Amin Gandapur and Hammad Azhar were among those who were declared POs.
“These leaders did not appear despite summons,” police said.
On the other hand, a special anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Azhar, Faheem Khan and Adeel Ahmed Khan, former members of the Sindh Assembly, in the case of arson and vandalism against the arrest of the PTI chairman.
In the final challan, submitted to the ATC by the investigation officer, police declared 13 accused, including former member of the National Assembly Akram Cheema innocent.
It was said in the challan that five accused including Alamgir Khan are on interim bail in the case.
It was also stated that more than 20 accused including Muhammad Kamran, Tariq, Amir, Younis, Javed, Azfar, and Fahad have been arrested.
