ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan has filed an application seeking pre-arrest bail in prohibited funding case. Imran Khan is expected to appear before Special Judge, Central Court, later today.
Islamabad High Court, it may be recalled, had approved Imran Khan’s plea, seeking protective bail in the prohibited funding case, till October 18 against surety bonds of Rs5,000.

In August this year, the Election Commission of Pakistan had unanimously ruled that the PTI did indeed receive prohibited funding and issued a notice to the party asking why the funds should not be confiscated.
Just last week, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case against eleven people including PTI Chairman Imran Khan in prohibited funding.
Media reports suggested that other persons nominated in the case included Sardar Azhar Tariq, Saifullah Niazi, Syed Younus, Aamer Mehmood Kiani, Tariq Shaikh and Tariq Shafi, whereas, the manager of the private bank was nominated.
