KARACHI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Maritime Affairs Mahmood Moulvi has said that the process of refueling has started from the ship that is stranded on Sea View beach.
In a message on Twitter, Mahmood Moulvi wrote that as the Federal Ministry of Maritime Affairs had said two days ago, the process of refueling from a ship stranded on Sea View would start today.

He also added that the refueling process would continue for the next 48 hours with the aim of protecting the coastline and the environment from any possible threat. SAPM Moulvi said that after the process, the method of evacuating the ship stranded on the sea view would also be started.
Earlier, Mahmood Moulvi said that the captain had called late, the ship’s engine had stopped and it had reached Sea View. The plane cannot be taken off before August 15 next month.
Last month, a ship, loaded with containers, came ashore due to high waves and got stuck at Karachi’s Sea view due to a weak engine. The ship will finally be recused on the fifth day after Karachi Port Trust’s (KPT) refusal to salvage the ship from shallow waters, citing an inability to do so.
