ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s focal person Ahmad Jawad has tendered resignation from his post hours after PTI’s Long March which is scheduled to start after today’s Friday prayers.
Taking to Twitter, Ahmad Jawad posted his emotion-riddled resignation with reference to Arshad Sharif and Pakistan’s politics, claiming that he introduced new principles in Pakistan’s politics.

On Aug 5, 2022, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed PTI’s expelled former information secretary Ahmad Jawad as his focal person on digital media and technologies. Soon after his appointment, Ahmad Jawad took to Twitter to express gratitude, with vows to fight ‘narrative of lie, hatred and hypocrisy’.
However, soon after the murder of Arshad Sharif, Ahmad Jawas was in deep sense of shock, and went to the extend of replacing his Twitter’s profile banner picture with that of the slain journo.
In his resignation letter addressed to the PM, Ahmad Jawad revealed that the decisions, which are apparently made by the government, were actually taken and executed from three different places, and that he was tendering his resignation after coming to know about the compulsions the PM was faced with.
He expressed apprehensions that the inquiry into the murder of Arshad Sharif would meet the same fate as that of Liaquat Ali Khan and Benazir Bhutto, and that the so called probe commissions are formed in this country for the sole purpose of ‘shrouding the truth’.
Minutes after his resignation, Ahmad Jawad said he was resigning on call of his conscience.
