PR to make Karachi its mini headquarters: Sheikh Rashid

RAWALPINDI: Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Saturday said that Pakistan Railways has decided to make Karachi its mini headquarters.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will split up by the end of his year.

“London is becoming a ‘go-to place’ for all fugitives and proclaimed offenders,” the railway minister said by adding that all those who are wanted by courts have fled to London. “Even the courts are saying what kind of a sick person is he who is not even in the hospital. Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif is now regretting the fact that he came back to Pakistan,” he added.

“We will increase the number of freight trains to uplift our revenue. We have decided to pay the pensioners instead of the contractors,” he said.

Speaking over the issues of the motorway gang rape case, Sheikh Rasheed said that the incident is a matter of shame for all of us.

The minister said that he is hopeful that the perpetrators will be arrested soon. “The statement made by Lahore’s Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Umar Sheikh is very irresponsible. I would say that not all people are capable of appearing on media,” he said.
