DES MOINES, IOWA: The Powerball jackpot for Monday’s drawing will be $1 billion, following no winning tickets were drawn for the massive Powerball jackpot worth $825 million on Saturday night, lottery officials said.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 19, 31, 40, 46, 57. The Power Ball was 23.
The pot for Monday’s drawing increased to an estimated historic mark of $1 billion and a cash value of $497.3 million. The increased jackpot will be the second largest in U.S. history. The biggest prize was a $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot won by three ticketholders in 2016.
While there was no grand prize winner, seven players matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million. Those tickets were sold in California (2X), Florida, Maryland, Michigan (2X) and Texas.
Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.
