ISLAMABAD: The price of electricity has been increased by Rs.1.60 paise due to a monthly fuel adjustment.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has completed the public hearing regarding the April monthly fuel charges adjustment. According to a statement issued by Nepra, the Central Power Purchasing Agency had submitted a request for an increase of Rs 2.1 paisa per unit.
Nepra said that the increase per unit will be applicable to all consumers except Lifeline and electric vehicle charging stations, it will not be applicable to electric consumers. Chairman NEPRA said that the authority will issue its detailed decision after further examination of the data.
