The power struggle within Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) has intensified, and differences over organizational positions have increased. Meanwhile, MQM workers have also staged protests.
Some workers claim that decisions regarding MQM positions are being made at the Governor House. Late at night, female workers staged a demonstration in support of former federal minister and central party leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. MQM leadership stated that workers were misled due to false news.
Dr. Farooq Sattar, a senior leader of MQM’s central leadership, said that Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was ready to step down from some responsibilities, but a hardline stance was taken from the other side. He emphasized that differences of opinion exist within the organization and should be resolved through dialogue.
It is noteworthy that the MQM Pakistan organizational meeting witnessed chaos yesterday. During the organizational meeting at Bahadurabad Center, MQM (Pakistan) workers chanted slogans against the leadership over the distribution of positions.
Reportedly, key leaders were overlooked during the meeting, leading to an uproar and protests from MQM workers. The workers expressed dissatisfaction with the distribution of positions. Due to disagreements over the allocation of roles, Mustafa Kamal and Anis Kaimkhani left MQM’s official group.
