DASKA: The polling time for the by-poll in NA-75 Daska concluded and counting of votes is currently underway in the constituency on Saturday.
According to the details, the polling started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm without any break. As many as 360 polling stations had been set up for the polls in the constituency where 4,94000 registered voters exercised their right to vote.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results compiled from 244 polling stations thus far, PML-N’s Nosheen Iftikhar continues to lead with 74,992 votes. PTI’s Ali Asjad Malhi has obtained 61,135 votes.
As many as 360 polling stations have set up for the 4,94000 registered voters in the constituency. Security has been placed on high alert at 47 sensitive polling stations of the constituency.
Police have taken the control of the 47 polling stations, which have been declared highly sensitive by the Election Commission of Pakistan. Furthermore, the Rangers personnel are being deployed inside and outside the highly sensitive polling stations
The ECP has directed the presiding officers to send a picture of Form-45 while announcing the results to the returning officer. The picture must be taken in the presence of the polling agent of the political parties. The location of the smartphone should be kept on while taking the picture.
The polling officers have been directed not to wait for the submission of the results if the network is down. They have been instructed to immediately reach the returning officer’s office and submit the polling record in time.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had challenged the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to order re-polling at all polling stations in NA-75.
The Supreme Court (SC) had upheld the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision to hold re-polling in the entire National Assembly constituency NA-75 in Daska.
