Three police officials among seven people were injured after unknown attackers hurled hand grenade at a police camp near Qaidabad Chowk in Karachi on Thursday.
During a press briefing, SSP Malir disclosed that unidentified attackers threw the grenade from the Qaidabad Bridge, targeting the police camp established for Eid ul-Fitr celebrations, before fleeing the scene.
The incident resulted in injuries to three officers and one passerby, bringing the total to four. Among the injured officers, Waseem and Fayyaz sustained minor wounds.
Law enforcement agencies, including Malir police, swiftly responded to the attack, ensuring the injured were taken to the hospital. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) also arrived at the site to initiate further investigations.

Sindh’s Home Minister emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to bring the culprits to justice. He called for preserving the crime scene and collecting evidence, while requesting a detailed report from SSP Malir.
