A staff member of Kot Radha Kishan Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, accused in a gang-rape case, sustained serious injuries after jumping from the third floor of the facility during a police raid to arrest him and two alleged accomplices.
Police had earlier registered a case under Section 375-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against the suspect—identified as ‘Z’—and two others following a complaint lodged by the father of the survivor.
According to the FIR, the victim had visited the hospital seeking directions to the children’s ward. Instead, the hospital employee allegedly led her to an isolated area of the building where he and his two associates tied her up using wires and subjected her to gang-rape.
The victim’s family, upon learning about the incident, immediately called police via the 15 emergency helpline. Acting swiftly, a police team raided the hospital in an attempt to apprehend the suspects.
During the operation, suspect ‘Z’ reportedly jumped out of a third-floor window in an attempt to evade arrest. He sustained serious injuries and was initially treated at the THQ Hospital before being referred to Lahore General Hospital due to the severity of his condition.
The two other suspects managed to flee the scene and remain at large.
Police officials are actively investigating the case and have begun collecting CCTV footage from the hospital to trace the suspects and verify the sequence of events.
Meanwhile, Kasur Deputy Commissioner Imran Ali has taken notice of the incident and has directed both the police and hospital administration to submit a detailed report within 48 hours.
