ISLAMABAD: The Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP) investigation has ordered to register an FIR against Shahzeb Jilani, son of Federal Police Inspector Qaiser Niaz Gilani, who was allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a man for ransom.
Soon after the victim, Ghulam Mustafa’s news was published on MM News, IG Islamabad Police and SSP Operation took notice and ordered an inquiry.
Three days later, the SP Investigation wrote in the report that the Ghulam Mustafa was abducted by his friends for ransom, including Shahzeb Gilani, son of the present service SHO Niaz Gilani.
It is to be noted that while talking to MM News, the victim Ghulam Mustafa had said that his friends abducted him at a gunpoint from Sector I-8/1 area of Islamabad and later released him after taking a ransom of Rs 10 million. However, at the request of the abductees, the police are reluctant to take action against the kidnappers.
The victim said two months ago, at 8 pm, seven armed men, posing as FIA personnel, forcibly picked him from his residence flat No. 7, Block No. 9, Sector I-8/1 area of Islamabad.
He said that only his friends knew that he had money, one of whom was Shahzeb Gilani had tortured him severely and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 million. When the kidnappers got the money, they tied his hands and threw him in 38th Sector I-8 at around 2:00 am.
Ghulam Mustafa said, “When I have applied for registration of the case in the concerned police station, the police refused to take up my case as the son of the SHO is involved in the case,” he added.
He had appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Commissioner Islamabad to take notice of the incident and order action against the kidnappers and return the money taken as ransom.
