Police foils bid of narcotics smuggling in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Police foiled a bid of narcotics smuggling by recovering large quantity of opium and hashish from a car near Bara Qadeem.

According to details, the operation and searched for vehicles were started after information was received by their sources about a smuggling attempt.

During the checking of a vehicle near Bara Qadeem, police recovered 150 kilograms of hashish and two kilograms of opium from hidden compartments of the car.

Police also claimed to arrest two smugglers identified as Abdul Qayum and Shahzad and registered cases against them. The investigation has also been started.
