LAHROE: Punjab Police have tried to arrest PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid at her clinic in Lahore, PTI spokesperson claimed on Thursday.
As per details, Punjab Police stopped former Punjab minister’s vehicle near her clinic in Lahore and asked her to leave the vehicle.Â
“Two police personnel stopped my car and asked me come with them,” Dr Rashid said “They didn’t show me any warrants, but still tried to arrest me despite the fact I have pre-arrest bail in Zille Shah(Ali Bilal) case.”Â
She claimed that once a sizable crowd gathered at the location, cops took down the barriers and let her go.
Earlier on Thursday, Inspector General (IG) Punjab police Usman Anwar claimed that two accused have recorded their confessional statements in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Zille Shah’s death case.
While addressing a press conference, IG Punjab Usman Anwar said that Zille Shah was killed in a car accident, but the police force was blamed for his death.
However, PTI leadership still blamed Punjab police for the custodial death of activist Zille Shah during the raid of Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore.
