RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested three suspects in a case pertaining to the alleged gang-rape of a 13-year-old girl in the Wah Cantt area of Rawalpindi on Monday.
As per sources, a man, Sarwar Masi was living with his family in Wah Cantt while an accused named Kashif Hussain Shah used to come to his house.
Kashif lured Sarwar Masih’s 13-year-old daughter under the pretext of marriage and took to another accused’s house Aamir Khan.
Sources further said a total of nine persons including Zeeshan, Kashif Hussain, Mansoor Khan and Bilal repeatedly raped the innocent girl after which the condition of the girl deteriorated. Later, the accused fled after throwing her at home.
The victim’s father applied for registration of a case at the concerned police station on which the police registered an FIR against the accused after receiving the medical report.
Police arrested three accused while raids are being carried out at various places to nab the remaining six accused.
Senior Superintendent Syed Ali said that three suspects have been taken into custody by the police after registration of the case on the complaint of the victim.
On the other hand, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani has also sought a detailed report from RPO Rawalpindi in the case.
The IGP Punjab has ordered strict action against the guilty in the case and directed the provision of timely justice to the rape-victim.
