ISLAMABAD: The federal police today (Thursday) have arrested four suspects for displaying weapons on social media.
As per details, Sihala police station raided their house and arrested all of the accused. The federal police also recovered several guns and ammunition from their possession.
According to the police, the culprits use to upload their snaps with armed guns on social media. “The aim of such activities was to create a culture of fear and superiority on social media,” a police official said.
The culprits include Afzal, Rafqat, Wasim, and Khurram. The arrested accused said that they uploaded the pictures as a part of their hobby. “We just did it for fun,” they said. The federal police have registered a case against the arrested accused and started further investigation.
Last year, the police along with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) launched a campaign to crackdown against the display of weapons on social media.
