LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has tested negative for COVID-19 on Sunday.
The opposition leader has recovered from the disease, PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb confirmed the news. She said the result of Shehbaz Sharif’s COVID-19 test has come back negative.
“By the grace of God and the nation’s prayers, Shehbaz Sharif has tested negative,” she added. On June 11, the PML-N president contracted the novel COVID-19. He quarantined himself at home.
On Saturday, head of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Karachi chapter and member of the Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman had announced that he had tested negative for COVID-19.
The PTI provincial lawmaker took to Twitter to make the announcement. He said that he had tested negative for the virus after suffering from it for the last four weeks.
