ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Malik Ahmed Khan has termed that the accusations over the Chaudhry Sugar Mills were baseless.
The statement of Malik Ahmed Khan came after the allegations made by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shehzad Akbar that earlier claimed that Chaudhry Sugar Mills was a huge corporate scam.
Khan said that the accusations were baseless and based on surmises.
He also claimed that he would stop appearing on TV shows if Shehzad Akbar proves the allegations.
Earlier on Thursday, Shehzad Akbar said that the Sharif family used Chaudhry Sugar Mills for money laundering. They also took loans to establish and sustain the mill and as soon as Nawaz Sharif assumed charges as a premier, all his loans were waived off, he added.
Foreign currency accounts of 15.37 million dollars were opened, he added.
Akbar further added that Umar Shehreyar Rs. 15 million was borrowed through offshore companies for Chaudhry Sugar Mills.
According to him, the Sharif family has never given any sort of documentation proof to any investigative institution.
