PMD forecasts rain with thunderstorm in parts of country

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast Widespread rain with a thunderstorm in different parts of the country.

Widespread rain with thunderstorm is expected in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad

The PMD stated that a strong westerly wave was affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist in upper and central parts till Friday morning.

The PMD added that light rainfall wind and a thunderstorm was expected at isolated places in central Punjab, lower Sindh.

Snowfall over high mountains and hailstorm in plain areas are also expected during the period.
