ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the nation cannot develop unless the lives and property of the public are protected.
The prime minister recalled how the morale of the police was low when he came to power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PM Imran Khan became the first Prime Minister to visit the Police Lines. After arriving at Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad, he paid homage to the martyrs of the police, laid flowers at the memorial, and addressed the passing out ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, the prime minister said that prosperity does not come in the society till law and order is established. He expressed that the police have not been given the place they deserve to date. “I want the nation to like the police,” he said.
He also announced that every police officer will be given a health card at a cost of Rs 1 million. The prime minister said that only overseas Pakistanis can conquer the country. “Overseas Pakistanis do not have confidence that their investment will be safe. Police have a very important role to play in boosting the confidence of overseas Pakistanis,” he maintained.

It is the fifth month that the current account deficit is in surplus. Prime Minister’s House has reduced its expenditure by 60 to 70 percent, he said by adding that he will talk to Hafeez Sheikh on the issue of police salaries.
The prime minister expressed that he thinks the salary of the police is not enough. The PTI changed the police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I saw the KP police changing, he added, he added.
