ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch a program on Wednesday (today) to ensure that no one sleeps hungry.
In a tweet, Senator Faisal Javed said the prime minister had expressed his plan about it early this year and now this program is being formally launched.
Under this programme, labourers and deserving persons on roads will also be provided food through mobile vans. The program will be expanded across the country with the passage of time.
Senator Faisal Javed said this program will be another step towards building Pakistan on the pattern of the State of Madinah.
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan met Senators Faisal Javed and Zeeshan Khanzada and discussed the implementation of the “no one sleeps hungry” programme.
During the meeting, the participants also deliberated upon expanding the’ network of panahgahs (shelter homes) in the country.
The prime minister said that the well-being of the poor and deserving people is the foremost priority of the government. He said the government is making efforts to help deserving people in consultation and cooperation with all stakeholders.
