ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will on Monday (today) visit Naran and Kaghan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s on a daylong visit.
The prime minister will be briefed about the steps being taken to promote tourism sector in the county. He will inaugurate various development projects for the promotion of tourism in the area. He will also hold meetings with PTI’s local leaders, eminent personalities and high officials in Naran.
Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan had called for exploiting immense tourism potential in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said tourism is future of Pakistan and government was focused on exploring the sector for revenue and employment generation.
He said Switzerland earns around $80 billion every year through tourism and launched courses in hospitality management. We can also earn more by developing our northern areas and other tourist spots across Pakistan, he added.
The prime minister said we can retire Pakistan’s debt by promoting tourism sector in all parts of the country. “Pakistan can earn money from tourism alone, both local and international, by revamping the infrastructure and ensuring facilities for tourists,” Prime Minister asserted.
PM Imran Khan said education about tourism would help the new generation learn proper techniques to pursue a career in the booming sector. He mentioned that Pakistan’s northern areas, deserts and the areas of Balochistan offered a diverse range of tourist destinations.
He said Pakistan’s domestic tourism has doubled in recent areas and once the pandemic was over, tourists from across the world would be visiting Pakistan.
