ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold a public gathering in Mirpur today to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Huge preparations are in progress in Mirpur for the public gathering in efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue.
The gathering will be addressed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, AJK President, Sardar Masood Khan, and AJK PM Farooq Haider Khan.
Earlier on Wednesday, while addressing a public gathering in Muzaffarabad, the prime minister vowed to further accelerate efforts to highlight the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people at the international level.
He further said that the Modi government has detained eight million Kashmiri people in an open prison and the government needs to apprise the world about this situation more proactively.
Imran Khan said that Modi has made a fatal mistake by revoking the special status of occupied Kashmir on 5th August, expressing confidence that this will lead to the independence of Kashmir.
