ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting today to discuss the strategies on price control.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister will be informed on the price control by the provincial governments. He had ordered provincial governments to control the prices of basic food items.
During the meeting, the cabinet will be briefed on the current situation of the prices of essential commodities (flour, wheat, sugar, ghee, rice, and pulses) and measures taken to control them. The meeting will include members of federal ministers, secretaries, and representatives of provincial governments.
The increase in prices of essential commodities continues to be a big challenge for the incumbent government.
