ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has gathered a meeting of the federal cabinet tomorrow in the federal capital.
Due to the increasing cases of coronavirus, the cabinet meeting will be held through video link. The cabinet will consider important national and international issues while the situation of coronavirus will also be considered.
The seven-point agenda of the federal cabinet was sent to the cabinet members. The federal cabinet will also decide to extend the stay of Afghan refugees in Pakistan. A summary in this regard will be presented by the Ministry of Refugees regarding the expansion of Afghan refugees.
The federal cabinet will ratify the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the Cabinet Committee on Energy. The issues of leasing Qasr-e-Naz Karachi and Chamba House Lahore are also included in the agenda.
The Ministry will issue IT policy guidelines regarding the licensing of satellite services in Pakistan. In addition, the issue of extending the implementation of the Mandatory Maintenance Act to all employees of the Meteorological Department will be included in the agenda.
Addressing a special meeting of the National Command and Operations Center last week, the Prime Minister had said that all possible steps should be taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
He said that the provision of beds, oxygen, and medicines in hospitals should be ensured. “Pakistan has faced Corona with a balanced strategy,” he said and also paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the health workers.
