ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the recently inflated prices of flour across the country.
The price of flour has surged by up Rs6 per kg with the commodity being sold at Rs70 per kg.
In this regard, the prime minister took notice of the matter and designated Minister for National Food Security and Research Khusro Bakhtiar to look for an immediate resolution over the inflation-related crisis and directed him to seek a solution to ensure the decrease in the prices of flour.
According to details, the prices of flour have surged by Rs6 per kg and a bag of 1kg flour will be sold at Rs70. This has been witnessed for the second time in the past couple of weeks. The prices have been hiked by Rs2o in the incumbent government period.
The price of flour has reached Rs 70 per-kg after an increase of Rs 6 in Lahore. The Flour Mills Association jacked up the price of flour to Rs 70 per kg owing to an increase in wheat prices. The FMA announced the increase in the flour prices stating that as per the increase in the wheat prices the flour prices should be of Rs 72 but it has been set at 70. The flour price was also increased by the FMA on 4th January by Rs 4.
