ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened an important meeting of the ruling parliamentary party today.
According to sources, the parliamentary party meeting chaired by the Prime Minister will be held in Islamabad today at 3 pm. The coalition parties have also been summoned to the parliamentary party meeting.
It may be recalled that PM Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the parliamentary party at a time when the first meeting of the opposition Ittehad-e-Pakistan Democratic Moment (PMD) is going to be held today in Gujranwala, a district of Punjab.
Earlier, the prime minister had criticized the opposition coalition PDM, saying that the opposition leaders had come together to save their corruption. “Opposition leaders will not get the NRO they want,” he said.

On the other hand, the first meeting of the PDM will be held in Gujranwala today for which all preparations have been completed. Maulana Fazlur Rehman finalized the plan with the leadership of PDM. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will arrive in Gujranwala with the convoys. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will arrive at the venue with a rally from Lala Musa. The meeting will begin at 3:00 pm and end at 12:00 pm.
