ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has summoned an important meeting of government spokespersons today.
The meeting would begin at 3 pm in Islamabad today and major political and governmental issues would be discussed in the meeting.
Spokespersons of the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the federal government will attend and participate in the meeting.
During the meeting, the recent visits of Turkish President Erdogan and a three-day ongoing visit of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres would be discussed.
Antonio Guterres arrived on Sunday, he had urged the world to show similar leadership as Pakistan has shown in standing with refugees.
“For 40 years, Pakistan has sheltered Afghan refugees,” he wrote. “I urge the world to support host countries and show similar leadership in standing with the refugees.”
Moreover, Imran Khan will attend the two-day Afghan Refugees Conference today, it will also be participated by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Other than the UN Secretary-General, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, Ministers, and senior officials from around twenty countries, will also participate in the conference at a dinner tonight at the Foreign Office.
