Pakistan and Azerbaijan have a history of close ties, with Pakistan being one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan’s independence in the early 1990s. These ties have deepened in recent years, notably with Pakistan’s signing of a contract in September last year to supply JF-17 Block III fighter jets to Azerbaijan, underscoring their growing defense collaboration.
