ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Diamer Bhasha Dam today and inspect the ongoing construction work on the site.
According to details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today decided to review the ongoing construction work at the Diamer Bhasha Dam site. PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Asif and PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb will accompany the Prime Minister.
It should be noted that many countries of the world including Pakistan are facing water shortages which dams are being built to overcome. Chairman WAPDA will brief Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on important issues related to ongoing construction work on Diamer Bhasha Dam site.

Past governments have not paid any attention to the construction of dams. The last dam in Pakistan was built in the seventies. Billions of rupees were raised in the fund set up by former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Chief Justice for the construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam.
