QUETTA: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is in Quetta on a day-long visit.
Upon his arrival, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Acting Governor Balochistan Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali and high-ranking officers received him at the airport.
During his visit, he will lay the foundation stone of dualization of the Khuclak-Khuzdar Highway.
The Prime Minister will also preside over meeting regarding law and order situation and development projects in the province.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from the President of the European Commission Ms Ursula von der Leyen and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The President of the European Commission congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the office of Prime Minister and underlined the Commission’s desire to further strengthen its bilateral relationship with Pakistan.
The prime minister expressed his thanks for the felicitations and stated that Pakistan greatly valued its relations with the European Union, which were based on shared values and common objectives of peace, prosperity and development.
