BEIJING: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held delegation level talks with this Chinese counterpart, Prime Minister Li- Kiqiang, and deliberated upon CPEC extension to harness multiplier effects in terms of future socio-economic development and geopolitical stability in accordance with transformational potential of CPEC.
PM Shehbaz Sharif was accorded guard of honour at Great Hall of the People. Both sides agreed to unlock economic potential of CPEC which renders Pakistan as fulcrum of regional integration and further bolster entente cordiale to build shared destiny.
Earlier in the day, Shehbaz Sharif held talks with President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of People in Beijing during which President Xi announced an additional assistance package of 500 million RMB for Pakistan’s post flood relief and rehabilitation efforts.
