Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued strict instructions for the special arrangements for Hajj 2025, emphasizing that any negligence in serving the pilgrims will not be tolerated.
The Prime Minister chaired a review meeting on the preparations for Hajj 2025, reaffirming that pilgrims are guests of Allah and ensuring their comfort is the government’s utmost priority.
Federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Chaudhry Salik Hussain, along with senior officials, attended the meeting, where they were briefed on the progress of the Hajj Fund, which is now nearing completion.
Officials informed the Prime Minister that, as in the previous year, SIM cards will be provided to pilgrims from Pakistan, and the Hajj Mobile Application will continue to assist them throughout their pilgrimage.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister directed that a detailed report on the Hajj preparations be submitted soon. He also emphasized that only highly reputable officers should be assigned Hajj duties to ensure transparency and efficiency in the process.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further instructed the authorities to ensure top-quality training for Hajj 2025 pilgrims to prepare them adequately before their journey.
He stressed that the planning and execution of arrangements for pilgrims’ housing, transportation, and other facilities must be thorough and efficient. Additionally, he emphasized that the selection of assistants for the pilgrims must be based on merit and transparency.
Earlier, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, signed the annual Hajj agreement for 2025 between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
