CHAKWAL: Prime Minister Imran Khan has predicted a forward bloc in opposition parties if they resign from parliament.
“I can assure that there will be a forward bloc in opposition if they resign from assemblies,” the prime minister said while speaking to reporters in Chakwal.
“Why would elected representatives who spent millions on their election campaign will resign on their orders,” he said, adding that the opposition leaders want their lawmakers to sacrifice for them to hide their looted wealth.
The prime minister said that the opposition was trying to hoodwink the masses but the people of Lahore showed them otherwise by rejecting the PDM’s public gathering.
“Entire nation knows they are committing injustices with them during the past 30 years and the lifestyle their families are enjoying is even better than dynasties,” the prime minister said adding that
Terming Maualana Fazlur Rehman as the 12th man of politics, he said JUI-F chief owns property worth billions and even his party leaders are now raising a voice against him. He questioned who would resign on his demand.
The prime minister announced that he would soon address the nation on power issues. He said Pakistan has the most expensive electricity in entire subcontinent and they were in talks with the Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to address debt issues.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived in Chakwal where he laid the foundation stone of different projects including a university in Balkassar, a 500-bed hospital, law college, and the Ring Road project.
