ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued instructions to the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs for taking measures aimed at immediate repatriation of the body of slain Journalist Arshad Sharif.

His directives came hours after the Islamabad High Court ordered secretaries of Foreign and Interior Ministries to take measures for bringing body of the slain journalist back home. Chief Justice Athar Minallah had also ordered the Foreign and Interior ministries to nominate officers for contacting family of the slain journalist Arshad Sharif, and take every measure to satisfy them. The court also ordered both of the ministries to submit comply reports by tomorrow.

In his directives for both of the ministries, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked the secretaries of both the ministries to expedite the repatriation process. He also directed them to remain in contact with the Kenyan authorities.

The Prime Minister asked the two secretaries to personally supervise all the stages of the repatriation of the body of deceased journalist.
