ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday has ordered that the vacant positions in federal ministries and divisions be filled immediately.
Information on 129,300 vacancies in federal ministries and divisions is collected by Prime Minister’s Implementation Unit and PM was briefed by the officials involved and eventually, he issued instructions to fill 129,301 vacancies in various government departments.

According to the survey, there is no grade 16 to 22-grade officer assigned in 13,421 vacant positions, while 51,000 posts lack grade 1 to 7, While 41,000 posts of grade 8 to 15 were also vacant and 96 posts of grade 21 to 22 lying vacant in several federal government departments.
The statement further said that as many as 4,000 positions would be registered across the country through the Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC), the vacant posts will be filled out directly on PM Imran Khan’s directives.
