PM Imran likely to visit Karachi on August 12

KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to visit Karachi on Wednesday August 12 for an overnight visit, sources informed.

According to details, PM Imran will hold important meetings with the Members of National and Provincial Assembly during the official visit.

Sources have informed that PM Imran will also visit Kidney Hill Park  and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) During the visit, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah are also expected to call on the prime minister.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the country’s biggest tree plantation campaign in Islamabad. Addressing the ceremony, the Prime Minister thanked the people who participated in today’s tree plantation drive.

Commenting on the plantation drive, he said, “We have started the process of planting more trees to make the country green. We are doing it for our future generation.”

The Prime Minister also urged the people of Pakistan to follow the precautionary measures to further contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. “Wear a mask every time you leave the house,” he added.

He also appealed to Shia Muslims to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) during Muharram. “This is a time for precaution. If God has blessed us, then we need to be thankful,”
