ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a day-long visit on Sunday (today) to Mailsi city in Southern Punjab.
During his visit, the prime minister will address a public gathering and hold meetings with the local members of National Assembly (MNAs) and members of the provincial assembly (MPAs). The premier will also announce development projects. He will be accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and provincial ministers.
The prime minister had started addressing public gatherings ahead of an expected no-confidence motion as opposition leaders have started heading to Islamabad. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif will also arrive in the federal next week.
The opposition parties have agreed to submit a requisition for summoning a National Assembly session for tabling no-trust move against the incumbent government on Monday. The PPP long march will reach Islamabad on Tuesday and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will announce the date for submission of the no-trust motion in the gathering.
Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has confirmed that the no-trust move will be brought against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
