MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has informed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation on the first anniversary of shooting Indian planes.
Talking to journalists in Multan today (Sunday), FM Qureshi appreciated Pakistan Army’s performance on shooting down two Indian planes on February 27, 2019.
He also lauded the services of Pakistan Army to establishing and promoting peace in Pakistan.
‘US-Taliban Peace Deal’
Commenting on US-Taliban Peace Deal, he said that Pakistan is hopeful for success of peace deal between the United States and Afghan Taliban which would be signed on February 29.
He said that Pakistan took effective measures in bringing the US and Taliban on negotiation table for establishing peace in Afghanistan.
FM Qureshi also claimed that some international powers don’t want peace in Afghanistan and are constantly conspiring against peace process.
Qureshi said that such powers are spoilers and there is need to avoid and foil their nefarious designs.
‘Kashmir Issue’
Referring to Kashmir issue, he said the incumbent government brought Kashmir issue in the limelight at the UN Security Council meeting after five decades.
FM Qureshi assured that India cannot succeed in its nefarious designs to puh Pakistan into blacklist of FATF.
‘Coronavirus’
Responding to a question about coronavirus, he said that no death has been reported in Pakistan and the government was highly vigilant in this regard.
Qureshi also assured that Chinese government was also taking special care of Pakistanis, working or studying in China.
‘Pakistan Super League’
About PSL, he congratulated the people of Pakistan over successful conduct of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The Foreign Minister said that arrival of foreign players in the mega event of PSL was, in fact, an expression of confidence in Pakistan by the world.
