ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has given approval, after which the Establishment Division has issued a notification, replacing the sixth Secretary Finance, Yousuf Khan, with Hamid Yaqub Sheikh, a Grade 21 officer, as Additional Secretary in-charge Finance Division.
According to the details, the Establishment Division has started issuing notifications to the officers holding promotions in the Central Selection Board. Seven officers of Administrative Service, 5 officers of Secretariat Group, and seven officers of Customs Group became Grade 21.
Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Amir Ali Ahmed were also promoted. Secretaries of three departments including Finance Secretary Yousuf Khan have been transferred. Yousuf Khan has been posted as Secretary, Council of Common Interests.
According to official notifications, the officers promoted in Grade 21 include Flight Lieutenant (retd) Iftikhar Ali Saho, Fawad Hussain Rabbani, Zahid Abbasi, Hassan Iqbal, Capt (retd) Asad Khan, Hassan Raza Saeed, Ali Tahir, Ali. Asghar and Dr. Shoaib Akbar.
The officers of the Custom Group who have been promoted to Grade 21 include Muhammad Sadiq, Asghar Khan, Asif Saeed, Abdul Qadir Memon, Imran Mohmand, and Ali Raza. Additional Secretary Planning and Division Abdul Aziz Aqeeli have been posted as Secretary in-charge Planning.
So far, the PTI government has replaced six finance secretaries, including Younis Dhaga, Arif Khan, Naveed Kamran, Kamran Ali Afzal, and Yusuf Khan. Lastly, Yusuf Khan has been removed and Hamid Yaqub Sheikh has been appointed in his place.
