PM Imran has rejected my resignation: Aamir Liaquat

ISLAMABAD: PTI leader and Member of National Assembly Aamir Liaquat Hussain has informed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected his four-page long resignation, which he had offered after he was unable to help his constituents.

PTI leader from Karachi took to Twitter and said, “After a long meeting with the Prime Minister, my resignation was rejected. I poured out my heart to the prime minister.”

“The premier lauded my efforts for raising voice over the Karachi’s issues and said this should be the role of an elected leader having political acumen,” he added.

In another tweet, Aamir Liaquat quoted PM Imran and said, “You are an asset of the PTI. We need to make Pakistan a welfare state together. I appreciate your raising voice for your constituency and Karachi.”

Aamir Liaquat had won on a PTI ticket from NA-245 in the 2018 general elections. He had earlier hinted at resigning, citing reasons that he could not offer his constituents any respite from Karachi’s frequent power outages.

Earlier today (Monday), PTI MNA Aamir Liaquat seems to have deferred plans to submit his resignation and visited his constituency to overview development works.

In a statement, the renowned TV personality said that he has been vindicated in front of the minority Christian community in his constituency.
