ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa separately telephoned National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser to inquire about his health.
According to the NA speaker spokesperson, in a phone call with the PM Imran, Asad Qaiser said that he was feeling better after implementing the prescribed instruction from the doctors.
The National Assembly Speaker also expressed the optimism that he would soon recuperate from the disease. Both the prime minister and army chief wished Asad Qaiser a speedy recovery.
NA Speaker spokesperson also informed that Asad Qaiser was admitted to a private hospital the other day to get better care. He will likely be discharged from the hospital tomorrow (Monday).
On the other hand, President Dr Arif Alvi also telephoned Asad Qaiser to inquire about his health. He also wished him well and prayed for his swift recovery.
Earlier, on April 30, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. “My coronavirus test has come back positive. I have quarantined myself in my house,” Qaiser said.
