LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the concerned authorities to accelerate work on the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development project so that the project could be launched as per schedule.
The statement came while presiding over a meeting of the steering committee of the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project in Lahore today (Saturday).
On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the government was committed to removing all the obstacles in the way of development projects. “The project will help meet the housing needs of the citizens,” he added.
The premier further said that the housing project will generate employment opportunities in the prevailing crisis due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
PM Imran also directed to ensure the protection of the environment and water conservation during the execution of the project. “Local raw material should be used for the project,” he added.
Earlier today (Saturday), Prime Minister Imran Khan said that reforms process in all government institutions was in progress to harmonize the initiatives taken by the government.
The statement came while addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Lahore. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was also present on the occasion.
