ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated the Chinese nation on the occasion of its 72nd National Day and said that the Pak-China friendship is getting stronger with the passage of time.
In his message on Twitter, the prime minister said, “On behalf of my government and the people of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese people and leadership on the occasion of the 72nd National Day of China.”

In the message, PM Imran Khan said that the historical friendship and friendship between Pakistan and China is deepening and strengthening that we are both committed to the economic prosperity and peace of our people and the region.
It may be recalled that the 72nd National Day of the People’s Republic of China, a neighboring and friendly country of Pakistan, was celebrated on October 1, which is commemorated in 1949 in the memory of Mao Zedong, Chairman of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Mao Zedong liberated China from capitalism and imperialism, for which the entire Chinese nation is grateful to its national hero. On the occasion of National Day, the Chinese people celebrate a holiday from October 1 to 7 every year, which has been declared a golden week.
The largest National Day celebration is held every year in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The military parade is a demonstration of military might. National Day is also important because from that day on, China’s construction and development began.
